BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP: “Learning to Walk in Darkness”
Led by Nerissa Brueckbauer, this is an opportunity to ponder the extremely timely question: “What can we learn when we cannot see the way ahead, are lost, alone, frightened, not in control, or when the world around us seems to have descended into darkness?”
Using Barbara Brown Taylor’s book “Learning to Walk in Darkness” (it is not necessary to have read it) and the work of other authors who have wondered on paper about the ways God is made known in the “dark,” participants will explore lessons gleaned from those “shadow places” over the course of four weekly one-hour sessions. Each session is “stand alone” – there is no need to prepare in advance to participate.

We worship as individuals, at many times, in many places. But each Sunday morning we all come together at 9:30 a.m.
WHO ARE YOU?
Actually, it doesn't really matter who you are, we know you have something to add to this community of faith. We could use your help. And you are welcome here - whatever your background is, however you identify yourself, no matter what burdens you carry in your heart.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of hard-working, fun-loving, plain 'ol every-day people who strive to be the church in the world, and live into our call to be a 'welcoming, compassionate community seeking to grow in Christ and express God's love for all, through worship, fellowship, service, and prayer.'
Our Sunday worship includes a variety of scripture readings, prayers, hymns, a sermon, and Eucharist (Communion).
You can listen to recent sermons here - but you'll have to come join us to experience the rest. We look forward to worshipping with you!
